Brrrr! It’s getting COLDER!

Screen Shot 2014-11-09 at 9.23.29 PM

The weather is getting colder and kids are beginning to wear jackets, coats, and hoodies.  Parents, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, write your child’s name in these items!!  The kids often remove these items and they get left in classrooms, the gym, the cafeteria, and even outside on the playground.  Our Lost & Found is already starting to pile up and it hasn’t even been really cold—YET!  Labeling the items allows them to be returned to the owners, and it also prevents arguments over the ownership of the items.  Thank you so much for your help with this!

First Day=Success!

Whew!  What a day!  All of the kids came in this morning with smiles on their faces (even though some were nervous smiles  🙂 ), and those smiles were still there this afternoon!  It was a great day!

Just a few notes for parents:

  • Please make sure to read and sign your child’s planner daily.  It is an important tool that is used to keep you informed.
  • Homework folders should also be checked for important papers and notes.
  • Every student needs an inexpensive cloth bag, such as a recyclable grocery bag, to use for carrying supplies to the switch class.  Backpacks will not be used as “switch” bags.
