Geometry Vocabulary Practice

We will have a Geometry Vocabulary Quiz on Friday this week.  The students are allowed to bring home their math journals to use for studying…but the journals have to be returned to school each day.  We’ve also created a set of flashcards in Quizlet that they can use to review the words.  There are a variety of ways that students can study using Quizlet including flashcards, games, and practice tests.  Click on the link below to practice.

Screen Shot 2014-11-16 at 11.14.48 PMI will be attending a conference in Dallas from Tuesday after lunch through Friday.  If you need to change transportation or get a message to your child or the substitute, you may call Mrs. Smallwood (903-291-2118), Mrs. McCurdy (903-291-2119) or the office (903-291-2101),  and they can forward the message.  The sub will continue to check planners each day, so notes can be written in those also.

Brrrr! It’s getting COLDER!

Screen Shot 2014-11-09 at 9.23.29 PM

The weather is getting colder and kids are beginning to wear jackets, coats, and hoodies.  Parents, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, write your child’s name in these items!!  The kids often remove these items and they get left in classrooms, the gym, the cafeteria, and even outside on the playground.  Our Lost & Found is already starting to pile up and it hasn’t even been really cold—YET!  Labeling the items allows them to be returned to the owners, and it also prevents arguments over the ownership of the items.  Thank you so much for your help with this!
